Emergency Abseil Training

The Abseil Training is an undertaken by anyone who wishes to be able to abseil in an emergency from height. 

Its aim is to train and assess people to safely abseil from artificial and natural structures, with fixed anchors.

The course will enable trained Abseilers to be competent in the following key areas, all of which will be covered, to a greater or lesser extent, during your training course.

• Technical Competence (including equipment, belaying, abseiling)
• Management and Decision Making (including planning, magaging participants, managing other staff, decision making and knowledge and demonstration of techniques)
• Teaching and Learning Skills

Assessment will be the safe rigging of an abseil and the safe and controlled descent of the structure by Abseil.
